From the Director

Dear Family Promise partners and members of the Shawnee community,

What better way is there to spend our time than serving others? We do not pour out ourselves to others from a place of selfish desire for our own blessing and yet we are always the ones being filled. That’s God. Ever present, ever loving, ever patient and ever the Teacher above all teachers.

We learn to see ourselves in through the eyes of others as we serve them. What do they see? Whom do they see? Our prayer is always that others see Jesus Christ in us. We love without condition. We remind every single person that they have value and worth simply because they are. Love is simple. Not always easy, but simple, nonetheless. We hope that you will pray for each of us who are serving the homeless children and their families in this community.

Consider walking this journey with us. Consider what God has gifted to you that might be shared with others. Consider visiting us at the Day Center. Consider what it is that God is doing in our community and how you might be of best service to others through Him.
